01. Overview
At RangeDOPE, we prioritize operational security. This Privacy Policy describes how your information is handled when you use the RangeDOPE Precision Ballistics System. We operate under a ZERO-RETENTION default — your data stays on your device.
02. Information We Collect
To provide precision ballistic calculations, the application accesses specific device capabilities. This includes GPS coordinates WHEN IN USE ONLY, local atmospheric sensors, and device orientation. Nothing is transmitted to our servers.
- Atmospheric Data: Barometric pressure, humidity, and temperature — used locally for ballistic solutions only.
- GPS / Location: Used to fill Shooter coordinates in Shot Plan mode. Only accessed when you tap GPS. Never stored remotely.
- Ballistic Profiles: Rifle, load, and scope configurations stored locally on your device in SQLite.
- Subscription Status: Managed via REVENUECAT to verify active Pro license. RevenueCat receives a hashed device ID and transaction receipts only.
03. Data Security
All ballistic profiles and hunt data are stored locally. We do not transmit your location, firing positions, or hunt logs to any server. Your data is never sold, shared, or monetized.
Deleting the application results in permanent removal of all locally stored ballistic profiles and waypoints. Use the Export feature before uninstalling to preserve your data.
04. Third-Party Integrations
We use a minimal set of technical partners to ensure system stability and payment processing.
Anonymous crash and error reporting. No user-identifiable data. Helps us fix bugs fast.
In-app purchase verification via Apple StoreKit. We never see your payment details.
Free, anonymous weather API. Your location is sent only to fetch wind data; it is not stored.
Free government tile servers. Tile requests are standard HTTP — no user tracking.
05. Your Rights
Because we collect no personal data on our servers, there is nothing to request deletion of. All your data lives on your iPhone. Delete the app to remove everything. You can also export your profiles at any time from the Settings tab.
